Deckchair Canvas

Deckchair canvas is more robust, 100 percent yarn dyed woven cotton, approximately 45 cms wide, made for recovering deckchairs and directors chairs.

Deckchairs, we recommend you purchase 1.5 metres for a standard deckchair, and a packet of upholstery nails to attach to the frame.

Directors chairs, we recommend you purchase 1.5 metres for a standard directors chair. Please ensure the stripes go horizontally across the chair. It can be sewn with a domestic sewing machine, or you can purchase a packet of upholstery nails to attach to the frame.

Washing our deckchair canvas is not recommended, however it may be sponge cleaned and air dried.

Interior Stripe Fabrics

Interior stripe fabrics are approximately 150 cms wide and are designed for interior use, including upholstery, blinds, cushions, tablecloths, and other home uses, including many of the products we produce. They are made from 100 percent yarn dyed cotton.

We also offer ticking fabrics and linen fabrics. Some may be washed at 30 degrees, line dried, and ironed, please see individual product descriptions.

We state dry clean only in the case of curtains and blinds, or where our fabric has been used for upholstery and specialist cleaning is required.

These fabrics are available in classic stripes as well as bright, bold, and unusual stripes.

Water Repellent Outdoor Fabrics by Agora

Water repellent outdoor fabrics by Agora are designed for exterior use where water resistance, stain resistance, and mould resistance are important. Made of 100 percent solution dyed acrylic, these fabrics are easy to clean, bleach friendly, and durable.

Velvet Fabrics

Ultra soft cotton velvet fabrics are available in jewel colours. These velvets are suitable for curtains and cushions, as well as craft, sewing, and dressmaking projects.

Velvet fabrics also work well with other fabrics and trimmings in silk and cotton.

We advise dry clean only.

Replacement Deckchair Sling Ordering Instructions

You must send us your old deckchair slings as templates. If your old cover is just tacked onto your deckchair, you do not need this service, instead buy deckchair fabric and nails. See our video on how to recover a deckchair.

This made to measure service is for deckchairs where the fabric is attached using a stitched channel at the top and bottom of the canvas where a wooden dowelling rod is inserted to hold it in place, and where the sides of the canvas need stitching for the correct width.

Once purchased, please print a copy of your order confirmation email, include it with your old covers, and send to the address below.

We advise obtaining proof of posting from the Post Office and ensuring you have paid the correct postage.

Remember, you must send your old deckchair slings as templates. Without these, we cannot process your order. There are many variations in deckchair sizes and we need to see seam positioning.

Please be aware our deckchair canvas is 45 cms wide. If you are replacing slings that are slightly wider than 45 cms, there may be more gap between the edge of the fabric and the sides of your deckchair. This will not compromise safety.

Please note, we are unable to refund made up slings or covers once they have been stitched and sent.

Please do not send very split covers as we are unable to measure accurately.

Express delivery is not available for replacement deckchair slings.

If you want to sew the deckchair slings yourself, buy deckchair fabric.

Important Fabric Notes

Our fabrics are not suitable for leaving outdoors, apart from our range of Agora outdoor fabrics, however limitations apply.

Please use our free swatch service to check colour and quality before you purchase. On each fabric page there is an option to request a sample swatch. We can send up to 4 swatches for £3.95 postage, and 5 to 8 swatches for £4.95 postage.

Make sure the fabric you have ordered is correct as errors cannot be refunded after lengths have been cut and sent.

All stripes run vertically down the roll.

None of our fabrics are intended to be left outside or in strong sunlight.

Modern dyes do not include banned or harmful substances. This means resistance to fading is reduced, so it is not advisable to leave fabrics in direct light.

Pinks and reds are more vulnerable to fading in strong light. If you want colours to remain brighter, avoid these shades.

Our fabrics are 100 percent cotton with no protective coating, so they are suitable for indoor use only, or in the case of deckchairs, intended for occasional outdoor use in fine weather.

Fabric widths may vary slightly, and discrepancies in the weave are part of the nature of raw materials and the weaving process. We do not sell seconds.

Swatches

We offer a free swatch service for colour matching, with a small postage charge.

Personalisation

Personalise selected products with silk embroidered initials, words, or names.

On applicable products, to add personalisation, select the number of letters or initials you require from the Add Personalisation selection box.

The price is based on the number of letters selected and is added to the product price.

If you do not require personalisation, select No Personalisation.

We will embroider an appropriate size for the product and number of letters chosen, and use a lettering colour that suits the stripe selected.

If you are purchasing more than 1 product of the same type and colour with different personalisation, add each product separately and select the letter count for each one.

You can enter the details of the letters or names for each product in the order notes section on the checkout page.

Please note, all personalised items are non refundable.
