Our made-to-measure service has been running since the early days of The Stripes Company, and it's developed into one of the things we're most proud of. It's the part of the business where the expertise of the team really shows: where a customer brings a specific need, and we find the right way to meet it using our fabrics, our skills, and our experience.

The most common made-to-measure requests are for replacement deckchair and directors chair slings: canvas cut and finished to fit a specific frame, in a specific fabric, to a specific measurement. But we also handle more complex briefs including custom-length fabric cuts for large upholstery projects, bespoke cushion and soft furnishing commissions, custom garden and beach accessories, and other one-off projects where the standard range doesn't quite cover what's needed.

If you have something specific in mind, the best starting point is always to get in touch and describe what you're looking for. We'll come back to you quickly with advice on what's possible, which fabrics would work best, and what the cost and lead time would look like. We don't take on projects we can't do well, and we'll always be straight with you if something isn't feasible.

What we can promise is that everything we make to measure is made with the same care and quality as everything else on the site. We use our own fabrics, which means complete visibility over every stage of the process, and we finish every piece to the standard we'd expect for ourselves.
